ABOUT GIVING…As a young girl I was taught about giving and helping others. I can remember my grandma telling me go get one of my dresses to give to another young girl. And I got one of my older dresses to give. My grandma said go and get your best dress to give. Always give your best. She sat us down an began to teach us about giving and not speaking to others about what we give to others, she said it is not to be spoken on for no reason. When you give, give from the heart and God will be happy with you. Giving and helping others will please the Lord. I speak on this because others assume that I do not give or help others because I do not speak about what I do. I will say this I have been giving helping others all my life. I am led by the spirit of God, not man. My giving to others is private between me and the Lord. I think it is so ugly to hear people brag about what they give to others or the Church, it’s just not Christ like. When you give from the heart you do not mention your good deed! Proverbs 19:17 ESV
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Deuteronomy 15:7-11 ESV
“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’
